Freeze it off. There are kits available at drug stores and supermarkets. They are a bit pricey, but they work well.

Over-the-counter salicylic acid. It comes in patches that you stick on and change regularly until the wart dissolves away. Duct tape sounds like way too much work.

Two steps; internal and external:

1. Apply 10 layers of any kind of tape--it doesn't have to be duct tape. Just so long as it will stay on.

and

2. Adopt a diet that discourages fungus. Eat more protein and veggies and healthy fats, and less sugar and flour. This will help keep you from being re-colonized.

A friend had to actually go get a doctor to freeze the area and completely remove it. Otherwise they are pretty tough to remove.

You are not going to like this...sterilize something to lance it and lance it when the item you sterilized is hot..do not dig with something that is not sterilized and hot as you will just make it worse

From the 'crazy & crystals' department: try biofeedback.

In high school, I had a large planter's wart on the bottom of my heel. My family doctor tried to freeze it off once. The second time he tried, I began a daily (when I was going to sleep) routine of biofeedback/meditation and visualization in which I imagined that my body was attacking and removing the wart from the bottom of my foot.

The wart disappeared within two weeks. It's not a scientific experiment, and I'm sure that the freezing of the wart had _some_ role in my healing, but I also think that my routine of biofeedback/meditation had some significant effect, too. YMMV.
