What is the best emergency room in the Los Angeles area?
I have had really bad experiences at a few ER's in the Los Angeles area. I am wondering if anyone could recommend a hospital / emergency room based on quality of care and wait time?
I understand that there are peak times but my last experience was ridiculous and I really needed care.
Thanks

However I did have a good experience at UCLA Medical Center (the one in Westwood) when I broke my thumb, i waited about 1 hour and they helped me out to the best extent possible.

Well, I would usually have said the closest one. I did not find ER ratings, but I did find hospital ratings for LA. http://www.netdoc.com/index.php?option=com_gmaps&task=viewmap&mapId=20081&Itemid=141&zip=90001&distance=25&submit=submit

I am assuming that you went to the ER because you do not have any health care. Is that right? I wonder if there is a free health clinic nearby where you could have gone. On Maui, people do go to the ER for non-life threatening problems, but that is because they don't know about the free clinic about a half block away. Surely LA must have something like that.
