I found a disconcerting article which talks about studies which speak of a possible link between aluminum-containing antiperspirants and breast cancer as well as Alzheimer's disease.

It has to do with the aluminum and various other compounds in the antiperspirant accumulating in the brain and body.

For more information check out the article I've linked below.

Sorry about that; I have Firefox with AdBlock Plus and don't see the majority of ads, so I didn't get bombarded by 'em.

Antiperspirant is really only bad for you if you cover your body with it. If your body can't cool itself from under your arms you just sweat more in another area to compensate. If antiperspirants were dangerous they would have much more noticeable warning labels.

It shouldn't matter that it is harder to wash off because it is designed to stay on your body.

As you stated, it will block your pores.. You will continue to sweat the same amount however... You'll just sweat more from other parts of your body. This may result in increased acne, especially if you're in your teens. I've never used it and have been using baby powder and/or old spice....

Most deodorants have bad chemicals in them. Go to a health food store and grab something that has organic ingredients. I use nourish from Sensibility Soaps. http://www.sensibilitysoaps.com/
