How much energy does a typical hospital or doctor's examining room consume?

That is, how many volts does an outlet have in an examination room and whether or not each room has its own circuit. Also how many outlets does a typical room have?

In the U.S., the standard 115/120 volt outlet wired on 20 amp circuits should do fine, with at least 2 rooms on the same circuit. There aren't a lot of heavy-draw necessities in an examination room: a good light source, maybe an x-ray viewing wall unit. An autoclave wouldn't typically be in the waiting room. There are a lot of variables for how many outlets in a room, but figure about one per wall (check applicable building codes, though).

A hospital may have much higher electrical draws and needs. Without knowing the specific requirements, it would be hard to give any sort of educated opinion. I hope that helps!
