What plants would grow best in a desert landscaping pond? I am about to invest in some plants and do not want them to die due to the heat.

Plants that are native to the desert will naturally tolerate the heat. Cacti are the most heat and drought resistant plants on earth!

Try tropical varieties of water lilies or varieties of Achillea and Agastache. The Achillea will attract butterflies, and hummingbirds will love the trumpet-shaped flowers of the Agastache. Coreopsis is a member of the daisy family that is relatively heat-tolerant.
