Oh, to me this looks like a Coreopsis!
I have several Coreopsis plants that I grow beside daisies. And this is JUST what they look like!

They come in many, many different varieties and colors - some don't have the double blooms (as your picture does), but some do. And many of them are yellow-orange (although some come in reds). You'll also find both perennial and annual versions.
What I have in my garden are almost identical to your picture and are perennials that grow well, love sun, and are not invasive at all. A very pretty and polite flower!

They're listed on the link below under the header "little uncommon flowers...) but not much else was stated about them.
This was the only picture I could find that comes pretty close.
(most nurseries carry a different style of marigolds that don't look very much like the ones on your picture http://henryfields.com/product.asp?pn=11401&bhcd2=1245514449)

Help me Identify this flower.
My wife and saw this flower growing along the road. She likes it. I'd like to know if you can get seeds for it or plants. It's probably a wild flower but a lot of them have been cultivated at this point.

Through other sources I've come to find out what my mystery flower is. It's not a Zinnia. I'll still pay out if somebody comes up with the right answer!

They look like a variation of Yellow Summer Marigolds. They're listed on the link below under the header "little uncommon flowers...) but not much else was stated about them.

I looked for quite some time on this flower. I know the picture I found was close if not the same, but the site the picture belongs to gave me nothing. If no one else can find it for you... please let us know what it is when you close the answer. Thanks... Phu

I posted an answer, but because Mahalo's glitching I don't know if it'll ever appear. So I'll log my guess here...just in case.
I'm pretty sure it's a Coreopsis!

I agree with gno. I just bought yellow tickseed, it's a perennial. The ones I bought look just like the flowers in your picture. I got mine at the Home Depot for $1.24, but I live in Canada. Not sure if your Home Depot would carry the same plants. You could check there and local garden centres. You can also buy the seeds. They are easy to grow and are drought tolerant. Perfect for me, as I often forget to water.
