Probably not. I can't see him passing the entrance exams. (!)

I'm guessing that
1) his head gear softens up the blow
2) he was not aware that this was a sliding door, rather thought it was a swinging door.
3) he had performed this maneuver successfully on a solid swinging door some time in the past.
Who knows, maybe he will be one of the greatest engineers of our time.

Will this student have a successful career as an engineer?
Meet engineering student Mullah Katl Ud Din. Feeling trapped in his university, he finally found a way to break free from the building, by smashing his head through an automatic glass door.
Will he continue to use his genius to revolutionize the engineering world or does this video show a preview of that is to come for him?

I'm afraid he won't have a future as a engineer. Why? He will be arrested for vandalizing every automatic door he wants to pass through. If not arrested, he will at least have to take time to deal with police and pay for damages, making him late for important meetings.

I must say, this person is an idiot. However much his practical intelligence may be lacking there is a minute chance that he's a modern day Einstein, eccentric, not at all street smart, but amazing with numbers and scientific theory. Unfortunately I don't think he is, because he chose his head (which is a better option than one's hand) instead of his bookbag/briefcase, which I'm pretty sure would do more than well at destroying a glass door.

The only thing I can come up with is that he has a passion for opening doors with his forehead. I'm guessing that
1) his head gear softens up the blow
2) he was not aware that this was a sliding door, rather thought it was a swinging door.
3) he had performed this maneuver successfully on a solid swinging door some time in the past.

He was probably thinking of some academic thingie before doing that. I can probably identify with him, I have always been careful about watching those automatic glass doors - when you near one, dont you pause and think for a millisecond, hey I gotta go through this one carefully, who knows, the machine may think its right to close with me sandwiched in between !

This answer received my vote because it was not so rude. I think it is too judgmental to say he wont make it.

He did seem rather confused. Was this his first encounter with an automatic sliding door? How did he enter the building in the first place? I somehow don't think many modern engineering problems are solved using the "look at the problem for a few seconds, then smash it" method, and he may have a more successful career making inadvertent YouTube videos.
