Which are your favourite all time stand up comedians?

I like Craig Ferguson, Johnny Carson and Whoopi Goldberg.
Anyone have a Youtube clip they like of them?

These clips might be offensive to some--in fact, I'm sure they will!

--------------------------------

Richard Pryor was a genius (pulled the most viewed one):

Chris Rock keeps it very real (pulled the most viewed one again):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auqRgzuLaK8

Sam Kinison was brilliant -- first time on Letterman:

George Carlin was a classic...

Asker's Rating:
• I want to thank everybody for posting your favorites! Afterward I realized that everybody is a winner, and I can't judge on content because we are all different. Four videos with explanations wins this category here by a hair! Thank you so much everyone for posting the names of your faves!

I was going to post, but you have already listed George Carlin.

This man has impacted our lives in more ways than we realize. He has influenced the way we think, our politics, and the manner in which we perceive things. His influence on our culture is immense.

He's not listed in your favorites, but I could listen to Jim Gaffigan talk about cake all day.

Bill Hicks.

Sardonic, foul mouthed, filthy, but unflinchingly honest and, at times poetic. Did what all good comedians do and made you think. He is sadly dead (we need his type more than ever at the moment) and he didn't leave us with enough material to remember him by, but he is the funniest man I've ever seen.

If you're looking for someone who is still breathing, I recommend Stuart Francis (www.stewartfrancis.com), a one-liner machine. My face was literally aching from laughing when I saw him last year.

The best stand up I have ever seen is an English guy called Stewart Lee. He is achingly funny.

I like Bill Engvall.
Robin Williams is very good with voices.
Bill Cosby is nice but he speaks a little bit slowly
Ray Romano (from everybody loves raymond) is hilarious as well as Rodney Carrington (Redneck style, but extremely funny)
Jeff Foxworthy,
Chris Rock is funny but he curses alot.
Jerry Seinfeld is also a good one to listen to

Richard Pryor--because he never needed a punch line to make you laugh until you cried.

Eddie Izzard has to be my favorite. Though Josh Blue is up there as well (this is slightly bias though since he is a family friend)

When it comes to current/newer comedians I really like Brian Posehn, Zach Galifianakis and Patton Oswalt. As for older comedians I always liked Emo Philips and some Steven Wright stuff.

I've always loved Paula Poundstone, personally. Kinda like a cross between the "have you ever noticed" aspects of Gallagher and Jerry Seinfeld.

I'm all over the Bernie Mac (RIP). I knew I watched too much of the Original Kings of Comedy when I could understand every word he said. He was just so d*mn funny.
