Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert?

The Comedy Playoff is on a break for the weekend, but we ran into a situation in Round 4 where Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert tied. We need closure on this, so you decide, Who is funnier? Stewart or Colbert. Please discuss.

When you think about it... they are both great, talented and funny guys!
They each have created a style that is unique in news satire.

Here is a good example of how Stephen feels about Jon. I found this Rose interview very interesting!

But I have to give the vote to Colbert since he alone alerted us to the threat of Bears AND gave of us a new Ben & Jerry flavor of ice cream.

They actually didn't name the whole Node after him. Instead he as a treadmill. They gave it the acronym: Combined Operational Load Bearing External Resistance Treadmill — or C-O-L-B-E-R-T.

Are we talking about on their TV programs or just in general? For the programs, I think they are both awesome in their individual comedy niches, Stewart is great at the political humor and Colbert does brilliant satire.

However, that being said, I find Mr. Colbert to be more humorous overall. I know he is playing a character, but he cracks me up. I love The Daily Show and would probably choose watching it over The Colbert Report, but TCR is definitely funnier.

But if I must choose... Stephen Colbert wins my vote.

Both Colbert and Stewart are funny, but I'd have to say Colbert wins.

I think that Jon Stewart's show is the better of the two. He is strongest when interviewing guests. But I do think that Mr. Colbert is the funnier of the two.

Mostly because Jon has a serious side to his show. Plus, Colbert has managed to convince many right wing politicians that he is actually one of them. Now that my friends is true comic genius.

Colbert. Both are good, but his show is just a little funnier, and more clever. Also, he's gotten elected officials to wear evil twin moustaches and to complete the sentence "I like to do illegal drugs because..." Hee.

Colbert
He hold my kinda of humor. They both do some stupidly funny stuff, but I like Colbert's way of doing it.
Much of his campaign stuff was just making me roll on the floor. I didnt like Stewarts stuff at much. I can see why in your playoff you reached a tie. It is pretty hard to decide. But Colbert is the guy I would watch if I had to pick out of the two.

Your comparison is hardly fair. They have not been on the air for the same amount of time and part of Jon's success could be seen as Colbert as he started on Jon's show.
