Probably not. "Larry" hasn't surfaced publicly on the web, and considering the types of choices Larry was prone to making back in 2001 (the year of the original video) I would assume he'd be eating up the celebrity by now.
More than likely Larry, who isn't extremely recognizable in the film to begin with has no knowledge of it video's existence. I speculate that the original video (posted below) was released recently by an employee of the store who would've had access to the security tapes. This employee probably didn't know who Larry was, and we might very well not know ever.
Here's the original video (with much more annoying music set to it). As you can see the episode caught by surveillance was MUCH longer:

Well, I looked through the most popular videos of this on Youtube and there are no comments from people who know this guy or from the guy himself.
I searched for the phrase "drunkest guy ever" in blogs and forums - all I saw were more copies of the video and comments from other people ( ranging from sad to f***ing hilarious )
The original is from 2001 - that's a long time to be online without knowing about it.
So I'm making an assumption - if he does know I don't think he is ever going to talk about it on a blog or forum, and his mates have been sworn to secrecy :)
If someone does find a quote from this guy please post it cause I've not been able to find one
PS - I think the silent film version is very clever and very funny :)

Does "The Drunk Guy" know he's a YouTube star?
This video has been viewed millions of times and seems to maintain it's viralness weeks after it's initial release on the web. Who is "the drunk guy" - what is his story? Does he have a blog? Have are there any research articles about the background to this? Inquiring minds need to know.

I cannot believe someone didn't take him and sit him down in the back somewhere. This is just sad. He could really hurt himself going out into the public like that, or hurt someone else. What if he wandered out into the street and caused an accident? Seriously, someone should have called the cops.

As far as I know Richard Heene was not involved.

lol, @jeffhoard.
It's pretty easy to see it's not a prank if you view the original video (in the answer above) starting at about 3:44. The bystanders' reactions seem pretty legit and the whole thing is a little too...slow and boring?...to be staged.
And if Larry staged this whole thing himself and was "punking" those guys, he's probably be out on the internet soaking up celebrity by now.
