What can I do with frozen Bananas?

I have a couple dozen frozen bananas in my freezer. Of course, I'm planning to whip up a big batch of banana muffins, but a girl can only eat so many muffins. Any other ideas of how I could use up my excess bananas? Perhaps a simple smoothie recipe?

You might want to switch out some baking pans and make some banana bread instead of, or along with the muffins (you'll use more bananas that way).
A loaf of banana bread makes a nice gift to give to a deserving friend!

For a smoothie, nothing is better with the taste of bananas than strawberries and it's the best time to get them at the store.

To make a strawberry banana smoothie you'll need:
6 large strawberries
1 large banana
6 to 8 ounces lowfat vanilla yogurt
1 cup milk
4 ounces ice cubes

Slice up and add everything into a kitchen blender.

This is the simplest smoothie recipe I know, and you can easily play with the ingredients to make it frostier, or creamier!

Make banana floats with hefeweisen beer! Fill a hefeweisen beer glass (they are tall) with the hefeweisen beer and add the frozen banana!

This type of beer is known for a banana aroma and it will go well.

This is the absolute best ever banana bread-- simple to make, and easy to freeze. Convert all your frozen bananas to banana bread, freeze the extra loaves in resealable bags, and pull one out when you're going to visit friends. They will love you for it.

Combine: 1 1/2 cups of flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.

Beat 4 mashed bananas, 1/4 c softened butter, 1 cup sugar, 1 egg, 2 T milk, 1 tsp vanilla until smooth.

Add flour to banana mixture.

Pout into greased and floured loaf pan, and bake in preheated 350 oven for 45- 55 minutes.

Frozen bananas are the best for shakes, in my opinion! Sometimes, for some reason, they're sweeter. So go ahead and make a smoothie/shake right now.

I really don't have any measurements but here are the ingredients:

- Ice (crush it)
- Bananas
- Yogurt (Try strawberry flavored to give it that extra flavor so you don't need to add sugar)
- Powdered milk (optional, but this is just sooo good especially when it becomes really creamy..yum!!)

I'd cover them in chocolate, but Magic Shell's not the way to go if you have some time.

Cut the bananas in half & mount them on a stick.

Melt some good quality dark chocolate (60% cocoa or higher depending on your taste) over a double boiler. Dip the bananas in the chocolate when it's turned silky smooth & roll to coat. Immediately roll in white chocolate sprinkles.

Lay them on a wax paper covered tray & refreeze.

For a grown up drink with a similar flavor, blend together until smooth 1 frozen banana, 1/2 cup vanilla bean ice cream, 1 shot of Godiva chocolate liqueur & 1/2 shot of dark rum. If you want to be super fancy, garnish with a slice of the chocolate covered frozen banana from the first recipe and a sprig of mint.

My kids absolutely love chocolate covered frozen banana pops on a stick. You can find the chocolate in the baking aisle (it's great for quick chocolate covered strawberries too) - it comes in dark, light and white. Or you can find a "kit" that includes popsicle sticks and chocolate right in the produce aisle with the bananas.

The best (creative) part is how you can decorate them. As soon as you dip into the melted chocolate you can add rainbow sprinkles, chocolate sprinkles, mini choc chips, mini M&M's, crushed Oreo Cookies, mini Reeses Pieces, coconut, any kind of nuts, and the list is only limited to your imagination. You can dip in dark chocolate and add white chocolate stripes or designs. Or add a few drops of food coloring to the white chocolate to make any color you want !

You can even cut the banana into bite-sized slices and make mini versions. YUM !

Ok, there are lots of very good answers here, but this is something you simply must try. I promise you, this recipe will become one of your favorites!
I call it "Monkey Cake" and if you can make a cake out of box mix, you can make this too.
Start with your favorite box of "butter recipe" cake mix and prepare it according to the directions. (If you are a more advanced baker, prepare your favorite pound cake recipe)

Next, add:
2 of your frozen bananas, roughly chopped
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup roughly chopped walnuts (I love pecans myself, you can substitute your favorite)

*Throw the nuts on a sheet pan and when you turn on the oven, toss them on the top rack. When the oven dings that it is preheated, pull them out. They will be lightly toasted and have tons more flavor!

That's it! Mix everything well, but don't over mix. Bake according to the directions on the box, cool, then ice with cream cheese frosting. You can use a canned frosting, or if you're up to it, this one is foolproof and really delicious..
1 lb. (1 box) confectioner's sugar
1 lb. cream cheese
1 stick butter
1 tablespoon vanilla
Make sure the butter and cream cheese are soft, then mix everything together with a hand mixer. (Or in a stand mixer)

Frost the cake as soon as it has cooled and enjoy!

You can make Imitation Soft Ice Cream!

Recipe

3 overripe bananas
3/4 cup skim milk
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 tablespoon chocolate syrup

Peel and freeze bananas in plastic wrap. In blender add skim milk, salt, vanilla, and chocolate syrup, and blend thoroughly. Add frozen bananas and blend until the consistency of soft ice cream. Serve immediately. Serves 4

Use chocolate syrup and nuts for topping.

This is tasty and has virtually no saturated fat.

Enjoy!

You can make an "Amorcito" Shake (or "Little Love" in English).

Ingredients:

* 3 Bananas (no matter if they are frozen)
* 3 big glasses of Milk
* 3 Eggs (fresh)
* Honey (as a sweetener, you decide how much)
* Ice Cubes (optional)
* Cinnamon powder

Preparation:

Take your blender and pour the 3 glasses of Milk and the 3 Bananas, shake it and while still turning break and pour the 3 Eggs. Wait a second and then pour as much Honey as you like to sweeten (try to remember how much is the equivalent of sugar for your taste).

Let it spin for a few more seconds until the shake acquires a beige tan color (thanks to the Eggs and Honey) then pour the Ice Cubes which will be crunched giving a cool and frosty taste to the shake. Finally, before you turn off the blender pour a small teaspoon of Cinnamon powder and let it mix a little bit.

That’s it, serve on big shake glasses... and get ready for Little Love.
