Not sure where you're located, but Kings Canyon National Park in CA is the prettiest place in the US in my opinion.

If you feel like camping up north, head for Maine and Acadia national Park. You can save money by camping in Lamoine State Park, a Maine state park across the bay from Acadia. You can camp right on the water, with great views of Acadia, and half the price.
