Next Question
Apart from Pole shift hypothesis, some versions of which are more credible then others, there is a recent study, published in Feb. 6 issue od Science, which suggests that a shift of the Earth's axis could be one of the consequences of Antarctic Ice Sheet collapse. This would cause the Earth´s rotation axis to shift some 500 metres from its present position.
