Tina Fey's spokeswoman says they 89,000 people who follow her account are following a fake.

My follow up question, then, would be: Why does the fake Tina Fey think a hamburger would be a good representation of the real Tina Fey?

Yes, that is still the question.
During an interview the real Tina Fey did with Esquire magazine, she was asked for a funny word. She asked if she could give two words instead, and she said "HAMBURGER SANDWICH."

Are you sure it's actually Tina Fey that's behind that Twitter account?
I don't think it has been verified that it's indeed Tina Fay's official Twitter account.

But that Twitter account seems to revolve a lot around food and candy so a hamburger is probably as good a choice as any other food.
