Because Rush doesn't care about America or the American people in the least bit. All he cares about is himself. Hence: "I Hope Obama Fails".

Work a little harder before you buy the "I hope Obama fails" thing. Were you one of the 51% of Democrats that hoped George Bush failed in a 2006 poll? He hopes Obama policies fail, but that America succeeds. If you think American success depends on capitalism, you have to hope Obama fails.

Yes. I wanted the war criminal to fail. But I didn't want America to fail in any way whatsoever. There's no equivalence because Rush wanted Obama to fail before he was even sworn in. And not for murdering thousands of innocent people for oil and whatnot, nor anything else illegal or immoral.

He wanted Obama to fail because Obama brought hope and generosity instead of utter contempt and excessive greed into the White House.

Rush can't make any money off happy citizens.

And like a spoiled brat child, he doesn't like to be proven wrong and will have temper tantrums over same, even to go so far as to sabotage everyone else's joy, if he can find a way to do so. And he thinks he did. Hopefully, his negative influence won't last.

Likely because he cares more about attention than truth.

No doubt about that whatsoever.

It's provable. Easily.

Because he's angry. He knows people like the angry, and will watch the angry.

If he were happy, he wouldn't be Limbaugh...

How often do you listen? He's not really angry often, that's passion. He laughs frequently.

It's not passion, it's unjustified egotism.

Wow, why are we asking? The fact that the market was up today is what we call in trading, "a bearmarket bounce." In other words, one day does not the market make. The market, it's safe to say without hesitation, is still very, very, very bearish. I'll bash with the best, but what is the agenda behind your question?

Why are we asking? Because it seems odd that Rush would go on and on and on yesterday about how "the financial war was lost" but he didn't seem to want to mention that the DOW was making record gains for the year to date.

Didn't make a peep about it today, either.

So what's HIS agenda?

To talk down the economy and assure its failure?

And why do you poo poo the gains yourself?

That certainly puts you (and Rush) in no position to take Obama to task for being frank about how long it might take. I mean, imagine if OBAMA had poo pooed yesterday's gains? Yikes.

That's a good question, but many of you have obviously never listened to Rush on a daily basis for more than a couple of shows. He's not angry, he's passionate and interesting and you learn things on his show you don't hear in the normal news shows. I definitely think he cares about the American people, he just doesn't believe American's are well served by turning to more governmental involvement. There are very few people that are searching for truth, whether liberal or conservative, but we need to hear multiple information sources, so we can get as close as we can to the truth.

Self thought, and approx. 17 years of listening to Rush. A lifetime of listening to mainstream news.

The government is made up of We the People.

America is just a big island.

Certainly we have to always be vigilant of government corruption and abuse of power but we need not be not paranoid of ALL government just because it's called "government".

NEWSFLASH: Rush doesn't care about anything but Rush.

He's a contempt monger.

He makes huge sums of money sowing bad feelings among millions people. Like racial resentment and whatnot.

In that sense, he's far more worthless and dangerous than a 100,000 welfare bums and/or 10,000 welfare cheats.

It's no contest.

I have never seen a political ideology/party (Democrats) get so worked up over a radio show host. My word! Rush is a private citizen with a radio show opposed to the policies of President Obama. Like an earlier poster said...where was this uproar when the left stated on more than one occasion they wanted Bush to fail (here and in Iraq). Heck even the Dixie chicks had the nerve to go over to England and bash the president and this country. Difference is when Dems utter such language....they claim patriotism. Sheesh.

Democrats wanted unjustified illegal warmongering to fail, not America, nor the soldiers.

They wanted a spoiled know-nothing lying chicken hawk coward / Constitution-shredding war-loving bully to fail, not America, nor the presidency.

Rush obviously has different notions of character and patriotism.

Rush is not merely a blowhard radio "entertainer".

He's the Leader of the GOP.

And operates as its brainwasher in Chief.

And as the Intimidater in Chief.

Why anyone would defend his contempt mongering tactics and behaviors is beyond me.
