I use a version of this theme often while teaching young people. Or older ones, too, if they need to learn.

It goes like this:

If there are three kinds of people in the world:

1. positive
2. negative
3. neutral

Then, iff you are innocent, unknowing or naive, you will be treated 3 different ways by these three types of people.

Positive people will help and guide you as a young sheep to help you learn. They will teach you to fend for yourself. They will protect you from wolves.

Negative people will see that you are unknowing, and take advantage of you. Thus, if you are not aware of the wolf (or evil), they will see it, and prey on you, in an evil, harmful way. Either for their own advantage, or as a "sick joke".

Neutral people will not notice what you are, and as an innocent sheep, you will just pass by them, unnoticed. They do not present any threat.

Here is one of those wolves, the negative, manipulative personality type, parading as a sheep. Look out for him/her. He/she is not what he/she appears to be.
