According to ApartmentRatings.com, the average monthly rent for a ONE bedroom apartment in Santa Monica is between $2002-$3002 per month, so you would expect a 2-3 bedroom to go up in rent from there.

For Venice, the average monthly rent for a two bedroom is reported by the Rental Data as being $3305. A three bedroom averages $4697.
