Next Question
It depends on if you're looking to invest, or to work with them.
If you're looking to invest, EDC Publishing (Tulsa) has a record of expanding when the economy is slow. I think this may be because people will give up a lot of frivolous things, but they don't want to jeopardize their kids' futures by withholding the kinds of educational "stealth learning" books EDC sells. EDC also has a track record selling to schools and libraries, as well as the general consumer. Everyone has a child in their life somewhere, be it a neighbor's child or their own.
For working with an MLM, just look for a reputable one with a product you'd be a raving fan of as a customer. The Direct Selling Association will only admit members with good track records. Their website is broken down by type of product, so once you've decided what you want to sell, be it legal service or tools or cookware, you can then go to the various categories and look at the possibilities.
That last is not a bad idea for investors, too. Reputable companies will be members.

There really isn't such a thing as an "MLM company." MLM is just a distribution method. All sorts of companies use the MLM model so find one that you really believe in and try it.
