According to Nintendo, Wii MotionPlus is a new Wii remote controller that can quickly and accuratley reflect motions in a 3-D space.

The controller has accelerometer and the sensor bar for tracking arm's position and orientation. Accelerometer can be found on devices like iPhones where it can recognize the current position of how the phone is being held.

For instance, using Safari on iPhone, if you change the position of the iPhone to horizontal, the page will be automatically oriented on the screen horizontally.
