what is the rate of exchange in dollars for a British pound?

At the moment, according to Bloomberg:

1 US Dollar (USD) = 0.6758 British Pounds (GBP)

1 British Pound = 1.4798 US Dollars

What rate you actually get will depend on what direction you are exchanging in, and the means of exchange, whether it's a credit card transaction, currency conversion at a bank, wire transfer etc. But it should be in the ball park of the rates mentioned.

The current exchange rate is 1.00 USD = 0.676680 GBP or 1 GBP = 1.47780 USD
