I could not find the work "Enkerl" but I did find the word "Enkel" which means grandchild.

Saw that but not "Enkerl." Maybe it was a typo, but still...

I think Enkerl could be a way of saying "grandkid" in a German dialect or possibly an abbreviation of one. I found an article (in German) that has Enkerl' in the headline. This article is about a 49-year-old German pop singer whose 19-year old daughter is four months pregnant (her first grandchild). Given that, the headline could read "First Grandchild is Underway" (literally) or "First Grandchild is On the Way."
