The Temptations are a Grammy Award-winning pop-R&B group in the 1960s. The original name was The Elgins, The Temptations are formed by Otis Williams.

Some of the notable hits are Get Ready, Ain't To Proud to Bet, and the most famous: My Girl. Their "Classic Five" members are: Otis Williams, Melvin Franklin, Eddie Kendricks, Paul Williams, David Ruffin. They are from Detroit, Michigan. During their era, they have 4 Billboard #1 pop singles and 14 Billboard #1 R&B singles.
