Being an RN and having experience working in a dental practice, I can say
that one of the most common reasons is clenching or grinding of the teeth.
This is usually done while sleeping, but clenching is a 24 hour habit. Try
to be aware during the day of being relaxed in the jaw area. You may be
surprised. Best of luck
