I seen something on Tv that I thought was very cool and very different. Carving you pumpkin but not carving all the way through it. I thought it made the pumpkin look very cool and different.

Kinda like this one but the top was cut out and they placed a candle in it the look that the uncarved pumpkin gave was awsome

Be original this year don't copy off those cheesy pumpkin patterns on the internet, find a book on traditional African or Mayan masks and try one of the scarier faces, or look at some Egyptian art and try to carve the Eye of Horus look. Looking at ancient art always inspires me.
