I strongly suggest anything Maytag. Their products last forever. You couldn't break them even on purpose.

You do not have to buy the pair in the same brand. My suggestion is to find each unit as you like. You may find the dryer in a brand not matching the washer. It is a common thought to buy the same brand but not necessary.
