That's a pretty sweet lens. The entire focal plane will be your sweet spot on a 5D. You can even shoot portraiture if you stand back far enough to frame your shot. Wonderful blur and bokeh on the background at f/2.8.

Use a tripod, if you're lucky enough to have the 5D MkII use Live View to zoom in on your subject to refine your focus perfectly.

I figured it wasn't kosher to give you bad advice then offer to take the lens off your hands for cheap. ;)
