I'm kinda confused about it too. I think you look at other pages, and if you find an empty one you can claim it. The page costs Mahalo dollars.

Hi there @krod309 let me help out a bit.

Managing pages is free, no need to spend any money there. the only place here on Mahalo that costs money is if *you* decide (you are not required to) you want to spend money by funding a tip on a question. that's it.. everything else is free!

Have a look at How Mahalo Works for all the information you will need.

First, read @buddawiggi 's list of links above, and click on each one of those and read them thoroughly! Next do one of the two below things:

1) Click on Mahalo Tasks and claim one of the Open Tasks. Complete all of the required steps using your knowledge you learned from reading the above links, and submit it. Once it is approved, you will own the page. This means you earn 40% of all of the Adsense revenue on that page.

2) Use the search box on the top of Mahalo.com and search for something that interests you. Search a page name on a topic you want to write. If the topic has not been written before, you'll see a "Request" link on the right. Put in the M$ amount that you wish to be paid for the task (usually $3) and submit. If approved, you'll be assigned the task to write. Write the task well and it will be approved and you will own the page. :)

I am new here at Mahalo and really want to build a page, but like @kennbell, I am not sure where to start. @Buddawiggi's links are great, have to start and learn a lot from it.

Thanks for informing that one should claim on the "Open Tasks" not on the "Open How to Tasks" and "Open Rush Week How to Tasks". Am I right?

lotusla, you are not eligible for Open How To Tasks unless you're on the How To team. The Rush Week tasks are good to claim to try to get on the How To Team. Read How to Join the How To Team for information on Rush Week tasks :)
