Is there any good way to save video from a BrightCove player? For example http://bit.ly/6iwhP

Disclaimer: Not a tech guru.
It appears that the only way to save a video from BrightCove is to have a paid account with them. In the past they allowed people to have free accounts where you could upload and save videos online (see notice below).
It also depends on what you mean by "save." Technically, if you are simply wanting to have access to a video on BrightCove - you can get a URL for the video and save it to your bookmarks.
NOTICE FROM BRIGHTCOVE:
"On January 31, 2009, Brightcove's free Network and Standard Accounts were locked, disabling access and players. If you want to continue to use the Brightcove Network, please contact our sales team. The change to the Brightcove Network does NOT affect paid Brightcove platform accounts. For more information, see the Network Discontinuation FAQ."

If your using firefox and Live HTTP Headers you can use that to find the url of the video file, most likely in .flv format and download it and then play it with vlc media player. However if that doesn't work your best bet is using a free screencapture software like ScreenCastle.
