I have not tried it myself, but File Actions 1.0 is free and provides a subset of the features of Hazel (which I do use--it's worth the $20, if you can afford it). In particular, File Actions 1.0 allows you to move and sort files in an automated way based upon a set of rules. You can find it via:

It looks as if a version 2.0 release is coming, which will be a $12 application with more features. See http://tomhancocks.com
