I researched this and did not find a truly definitive answer, but I did find this warning:
Seek advice from a health practitioner before use if you have/may have had kidney or liver disease. Discontinue use if nausea, fever, fatigue or jaundice (dark urine, yellow discoloration of eyes) should occur:
And that warning, more than any praise of HOODIA's safety and effectiveness, I find very telling. I thinkn you probably should talk to your doctor before using it.
