It's not a very good idea to feed your dog dairy. Many dogs are lactose intolerant.
But if your dog isn't lactose intolerant, I'd give it plain yogurt. Fruit yogurt contains too much sugar and dogs are intolerant to certain fruits (in fact some can kill them.)
Some people feed yogurt to their dogs to help with digestion but that would only help if your dog isn't one of the many adult dogs with lactose intolerance.

And sugar content: sugar can cause diarrhea, so giving your dog yogurt could, uh, backfire.
Stick to plain, and it may even help your pet's health. But keep it infrequent until you check with your vet.

I have a small dog, as well, and my vet once recommended that I feed her plain yogurt to help with some digestive issues. He advised me to avoid flavored yogurt because they contain too much sugar. I am sure just a little would be fine, but don't overdo it. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3095/2719051710_7f04385a63.jpg

Check that the yoghurt isn't sweetened with grape juice. Grapes (and raisins etc) are bad for dogs and can lead to renal failure.

You have to be careful on amounts and ingredients. Dogs can't have chocolate, although chocolate yogurt has so little it might be ok for a very large dog, but you don't want them getting that taste! And some are extremely sensitive to it. And sugar content: sugar can cause diarrhea, so giving your dog yogurt could, uh, backfire.
