Prescription glasses can range in price, depending upon your prescription. Extreme prescriptions and bifocals will cost more money. Choosing designer frames will cost you more money, and certain glasses stores will cost more than others.

If you are in the US, you can get glasses for as little as $8 + about $4.95 shipping from http://www.ZenniOptical.com/ . . or .. you could easily spend several hundred dollars going to lenscrafters, or many other glasses stores.

To find the best information about online discount glasses places, the best site is http://www.glassyeyes.com/

Your bottom line is doctor exam/prescription costs (if you don't already have one)+variable costs of glasses (lenses+frame) = total cost.

Eyeglasses can range from $20-$2000 per pair. Both the frames and lenses vary widely in price. In order to get the best deal try to buy glasses under insurance and shop around. The seller will try to add features to your glasses, you may not care about such as glare reduction of poly-carbonate lenses. Good luck.

My husband and I just went to his eye doctor about lasik surgery, anyway we needed to get a temporary pair of glasses for him while his contacts were out.

There was a wide range of prices anywhere from $85 to $350 frames and the perscription lenses would cost about a hundred dollars in addition to those prices. There was one rack that they had of older style frames that came with the perscription for $100 total so maybe you could find deals like that when shopping around. Hope this helps!
