Does anybody still use delicious.com ? If so, why? It seems like all of the things it does are better handled by sharing links on FB/Twitter

Comparing FB links and delicious links is not a good comparison:
- FB, twitter and the likes are essentially "moving media" where you see just a small widows out of a huge report of activity. If you post a link there... nobody will be able to see it in 48hrs from now (unless they have very few friends with very little activity). These are INSTANT messages
- on the other hand, delicious is more a REFERENCE place: I place ther most of the links I find worth remembering, and then I can find back there the links that I found worthwhile

Of course, since Delicious has a RSS feed, it can be shared/ displayed over sevral sites. For isntance, I am displaying my own delicious links
- of course on my own page http://delicious.com/fibo
- but also in FB, which displays the most recent links I added
- on one of my blogs http://www.multi-sources.com (in French) about internet tools, I display a live feed subset of my links
http://delicious.com/fibo/tools
- etc.
I made a nice wordcloud of my delicious tags at

I still use Delicious heavily because it's a great place to store bookmarks for future reference. Twitter Search only goes back a certain amount of time, which would make it difficult to find pages at a later time.

I suppose it depends on your use case, though. I use Delicious because I'm not satisfied with the way browsers handle bookmarks. One tiny little bonus for me is that my bookmarks are publicly shared. ;)
