Nope nothing really happened. It wasn't very likely that anything would happen. The mostly like payload download was just more spying software. The virus makers primary task these days is to get tons of users for use in extortion or sending spam. They have no need/want to actually screw up the computers they are on they want to harness the bandwidth of these machines.
