Well... it's cheap, easy to read, and has an epic, ancient sort of feel to it. I know, Cameron probably could have afforded a more interesting font for his subtitles, but that's show business for you.

I actually thought the yellow stylish subtitles were very well thought out. I live in The Netherlands, and we are accustomed to bright white subtitles, which would have been very out of place in the blue-green-luminescent world of Pandora. So, I liked these subs way better!
