It does not look good for Tesla Motors. I want them to succeed because they seem to be the brightest hope for the electric-car industry. The bad news is they have not been profitable so far.

It doesn't hurt that J. Calacanis is a fan of the company. Unfortunately, they don't have any gas vehicles to carry them until full electric grows in popularity and acceptance. If they were able to be the first to market with an affordable electric car with a 300 mile range, that could be a game changer...
