The Cayman islands are a divers paradise and your sure to not be disappointed by planning a vacation to them.
Although I am not a diver I have quite a few friends who are very experinced and they all say that the Caymans are a MUST SEE destination for any diver.
There must be truth to what they say because all of them go there at least once a year.

Plus April is not a holiday season yet so the price is very friendly and it is not crowded. The night life is amazing too if you are bored with nature and quiet. It has Kamasutra and Hard Rock Cafe and a lot of international hotels. Local hotels are also very good and very budget friendly. You can get more information in Bali vacation and Bali hotels

We are staying at the Shandrani Hotel Resort and Spa. It is a 5* star hotel with an all-inclusive package (one of the first hotels to have one on the island).
http://www.mauritius-seychelles.com/shandrani-resort-and-spa-hotel-mauritius.php
In addition to unlimited meals, drinks, etc. the All-Inclusive deal includes UNLIMITED SCUBA DIVING!!!!
I told my fiance that we are going to go and get Scuba certified before we go on our honeymoon so we can take full advantage of that offer!!! It sounds amazing.
Use Google maps and search for Mauritius. The Shandrani Hotel is in the southeast of the island in Blue Bay. (Check the sources for more information on Mauritius itself)

There are numerous shore dives on the West Side of the island and up to the North Side. Small dive operations are located along the coast, and there's no need to bring a ton of gear with you (a problem with baggage constraints these days). My family packs snorkel stuff (good equipment with dive fins, etc.) and we rent the rest. I have a Diva BCD - nice for a girl! My favorite is a 60' mini wall with everything you could imagine in the way of coral and fish. Gorgeous!
On the East End and all over the island there are amazing wall dives. For recreational divers (I assume that's you, too) we go to 100' where things like giant barrel sponges abound.
On almost every dive now, we see green sea turtles and that's always a treat. For a really fun, different and easy dive, StingRay City is a kick. We go every time and it doesn't grow old.
In addition to the diving, there is a lot of entertainment and night spots all over the island. On the East End in particular, there are beautiful white-sand beaches for a stroll along the water or a swing in a hammock at one of the local resorts, gazing at the moon as its light glistens off the coconut palms. Just thought I'd throw that in! There are lots of other things to do as well, if you're killing time with surface intervals and what not. Like snorkeling, which is also awesome.
All the dive operations are top notch and especially keen on safety and conservation. The whole island and the immediate water around it are a marine preserve. I could go on and on about this. I've logged 132 dives, most of them in Grand Cayman where I was also certified. It's a diver's island. If you want to get away from it all, REALLY away from it all, try Little Cayman or Cayman Brac, but Grand Cayman has it all. Food's great, too!!
You'll have a wonderful time. This is a photo, taken from a dive boat, of an East End resort and its beach. They have great nighttime stuff, even if you're not a guest there.

As for the SCUBA, there are trips to a crescent-shaped island about twenty minutes off the coast. The diving there is beginner level, well-equipped / well-trained staff - and the view is sublime. You have not seen color on this planet until you go diving on a coral reef.
Total cost for a week per couple in Maui and Hawaiian Island can easily be under $5k, even with high food costs. Look for the numerous bargain getaways, and do consider renting a condo; the cost can be comparable to a week in a hotel, but you get an entire house in a prime, private location.
Plus....you don't need a passport as with trips to Mexico or other countries.

Where is the best place to take a honeymoon in April for a couple that is beginning SCUBA divers.
We want to spend a week at an all inclusive beach resort and spend a couple days diving. We're beginner divers with about 10 dives each so far. Also we'd like to spend less than $5k.

Definitely Bali. It is one of the top destination for honeymoon in the world, and the diving is amazing. Go to Nusa Lembongan in Bali for best dive site in Bali. I dived in Bali once, and it's simply amazing. Plus April is not a holiday season yet so the price is very friendly and it is not crowded. The night life is amazing too if you are bored with nature and quiet. It has Kamasutra and Hard Rock Cafe and a lot of international hotels. Local hotels are also very good and very budget friendly. We're really not concerned about nightlife. We just want a quiet relaxing beach spot. Now that I think about it, I am concerned about nightlife. I'd like to avoid it.

Then Ubud, Uluwatu, and Nusa Lembongan is the perfect place for you. Try these: http://www.nusalembonganresort.com/, http://www.nandinibali.com/packages.asp, http://www.balihoneymoonvillas.com/. If you want quiet place, avoid Kuta and Seminyak. All other places are usually quiet and peaceful, especially in April.

My fiance and I will be going on our honeymoon to Mauritius, it is an island east of Madagascar and the cost to stay at the resorts is very good! We are going in the last week of June, 2010. We are staying at the Shandrani Hotel Resort and Spa. It is a 5* star hotel with an all-inclusive package (one of the first hotels to have one on the island).

I dont know what your budget for travel and lodging is, but personally... My fiance's family works for British airways so we're getting severely discounted flights.... so I cant help u there. You are most likely flying to London and then from there taking the 12-hour flight down to Mauritius... Travel is the big hurdle here....
I ran a quick quote through the website above and 7 nights will cost you $3,000 in the superior room (Serenity-Plus package = all-inclusive). Personally, we're only staying 6 nights... That price includes a Honeymoon discount, a free night, and a discount for booking over 30 days in advance. There are other discounts on the site including free bottles of champagne, t-shirts, and the wife getting 50% off everything.
That cost includes the unlimited scuba and other water activities like sail surfing, snorkelling, water-skiing and wakeboarding, etc... the site above will elaborate

Grand Cayman. Hands down. Here's why. First and foremost, warm water. Most divers go without any wetsuit at all. Some opt for shorties or "skins" but's that all. There are numerous shore dives on the West Side of the island and up to the North Side. Small dive operations are located along the coast, and there's no need to bring a ton of gear with you (a problem with baggage constraints these days). Maui. The entire island can be circumnavigated by car in less than three hours, and it has a different landscape in each quadrant (arid, tropical, volcanic, grassland). It's a paradise within a paradise. As for the SCUBA, there are trips to a crescent-shaped island about twenty minutes off the coast. The diving there is beginner level, well-equipped / well-trained staff - and the view is sublime. You have not seen color on this planet until you go diving on a coral reef.

One draw back with the Hawaiian islands is travel time. Its fine if your west coast USA, but if your mid USA or east coast the Caribbean is so much more convenient and affordable.
Unless they have really upgraded the Kings Highway since the last time I was on Maui it takes a good deal longer then 3 hours to circumnavigate.
They were updating the road to Hana last time I was there, but the SW side was a very slow go, cool drive but slow.

Go to hawaii, what a experience it would be to take a trip within the states and take a cruise around the hawaiin islands without having to go through the trouble of passports. I would love to go personally, i never been there but im sure it is one nice time. IM not sure what type of diving offers they have but there has to be tons of that out there. If your interested in a cruise around the island let me know, I know someone at cruise brothers that can get u a great deal. Thanks Mike !

No way you can go wrong with the Caymans, only problem your likely to have is not wanting to leave once you get there. :)
