The biggest cat is a Liger. A Liger is a cross breed of a male Lion and a female Tiger and borrows positive characteristics from both the Lion & Tiger species and are only breed in captivity. The largest Liger weights 882 lbs and is recorded with the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest cat alive. http://www.flickr.com/photos/alismith44/269850516/
