Yeah, other than that, it does seem a little curious that it took so long. He played for the Chiefs, who are much lower-profile than some teams and have not competed for a championship in a long time...maybe that contributed, too...

The only negative thing I can even come up with is that his erratic driving was what led to his passenger's death and eventually his death after becoming paralyzed...and that somehow tarnished his reputation just enough to have wait five years...but that seems like a stretch, doesn't it? Yeah, other than that, it does seem a little curious that it took so long.
