Two stroke engines are common in smaller conveyances and motorized devices. The two stroke engine completes the cycle of an internal combustion engine with two strokes of the piston. Intake of the exhaust is done both at the beginning of the compression and end of combustion stroke. Thus, the revolution of the crank is done on every stroke of the piston. The four stroke engine is typically found in cars, trucks, planes, etc. The four stoke produces two crank revolutions during one interval. The four strokes consist of the intake, compression, power and exhaust strokes.
