My guess is that A-Rod regrets using the word "stalker," because it doesn't sound likely that she actually "stalked" him in the way we're used to defining that word these days.

Roberts refutes pretty much every allegation made against her, and has explanations for the incidents where police got involved with any of her doings. I am certain she has aggressively sought to break news on the A-Rod steroids story, and she has certainly focused in on A-Rod alone since she's trying to cash in on a book she's writing about him...but "stalking" sounds like it was definitely the wrong word to use.
