I don't think he'll retire. He's got a couple of options. The Jets can have him back to play out his contract. However, this would seriously handicap their signing of free agents because of reduced cap-space. If the Jets decide to make him a free agent, I wouldn't be surprised to see him play for the Vikings--a team he admitted wanting to play for last year.

Maybe a year removed from the Green Bay brouhaha will open things up for him to shoot over to Minnesota...they need him over there, and the new Jets coach might just as well want a fresh start.
It'd be fun to see him go against the Packers as a Vikes QB, but chances are he'll return for a second season with the Jets...

Geez, can't imagine him playing as a backup, he'd retire before that, wouldn't he?Maybe a year removed from the Green Bay brouhaha will open things up for him to shoot over to Minnesota...they need him over there, and the new Jets coach might just as well want a fresh start.
