Sounds like we can only speculate right now...no one has claimed responsibility for the attack. I find it hard to believe, though, that it was a random act of terrorism somehow -- the doctor is too well-known and well-liked in the community.
The first thing that popped into my mind is that he practices in the south -- could he perhaps perform abortions? That's kind of a stretch, though...guess we'll have to wait to see what the investigation uncovers.

Dr. Pierce did not perform abortions at his office. He is a very classy doctor with very good morals. He a very soft spoken caring doctor. I can't imagine why anyone would do to this to him on purpose. But, I certainly hope they find out who did this to him. I can only imagine how horrified his wife felt when this all happened. It just breaks my heart. They were very sweet people. My heart goes out to them and only pray that he recovers the best that he can.
