Allegedly Pro-wrestle Chris Jericho woman's face and also punched a woman on February 7, 2009. The WWE issued this statement, ""After leaving a live event in Victoria, British Columbia on Saturday evening, Chris Jericho's car was attacked by a mob when he was stopped at a stop sign. Unable to proceed, Chris Jericho exited his car to ask the crowd to clear a path so he could continue through the intersection. A man and a woman physically and verbally assaulted Mr. Jericho. Arena and WWE security arrived to establish enough order to allow Mr. Jericho to re-enter his vehicle and depart. The local police arrived minutes later. Mr. Jericho was unharmed in the incident. The WWE is working with local authorities who are investigating the incident to identify the man and woman who fled the scene." (http://www.tmz.com/2009/02/08/wwe-jericho-was-attacked-by-a-mob/)

The interesting question to me is, how much is a person - any person, man or woman - supposed to put up with before they fight back? The woman clearly spit on him - more than once, it seems. He was clearly the one being assaulted, and defending himself - a scary situation whether you're a pro-wrestler or not when there's a dozen people who could jump you at any time.
It is worth noting that the fans involved are the ones who got arrested, not Jericho.

In the video I cannot see him actually punch a woman, it goes pretty crazy at that point. There was certainly an altercation, and he certainly did something that involved physical contact. Whether it was a shove or a "pie face" or what, it's hard to tell. You can hear someone on the tape saying "He just punched her". The interesting question to me is, how much is a person - any person, man or woman - supposed to put up with before they fight back? The woman clearly spit on him - more than once, it seems.
