Hhmmmm. This sounds hard. I am assuming that b/c he broke 2 beds already his case is a bit more severe. Please correct me if i am wrong.

Just my opinions but perhaps it would be best to go with painted murals as opposed to hanging decorations as these could cause a danger if he were to pull them off the walls. I don't know how high functioning your son is so it's hard to suggest room items. Around the room I would put simple and safer accessories, like a bean-bag chair or one of those boon trio animal bags. I have also bought child sized ottoman covers on clearance and then filled them with stuffed animals to be soft. (and clean up clutter)

As far as bed choices you could set up the mattress on the floor, or on a simple raised platform asian -style. This might keep him from breaking another bed, you could always just purchase a new frame and such if you felt that he could handle it again.

If you give me more details i would be happy to try to suggest more things that might suit your needs a bit better or at least more thoroughly.

This is the boon trio bag, it looks totally cool and cleans up all your stuffed animals at the same time....convenient!!!
