Your opinion needed: Was Rob Parker at all justified in his questions to Rod Marinelli after the Lions' loss?

Watch the video here if you haven't seen it: http://www.mahalo.com/Rob_Parker

I think he's allowed to ask about the status of the defensive coordinator, but asking if he wishes his daughter had married a better defensive coordinator is completely over the line. What do you think?

Rob Parker was trying to bait Marinelli into an argument just for the sound bites. I think it was a personal attack and had no business being classified as journalistic questioning. There is justification in asking if his defensive coordinator is doing a decent job, but when you start questioning him about his family members, that's just classless and uncalled for.

That is pretty over the line. Frankly, the Lions stink and are the laughing stock of the league. The first team ever to go 0-15. A season like that will lead to plenty of mocking, but getting the daughter and her marriage involved is strange and uncalled for.

It seems to me that it was more an ill-timed and inappropriate joke more than anything. Still, it was an extremely boneheaded thing to say and the guy should be more professional. I'm sure an apology would be appreciated but I don't see one happening.

If that reporter was working for me, he would no longer have a job.
