According to today's news, some high-ranking executives in the Cowboys organization think the team would be better off without Owens. That doesn't matter, though if Jerry Jones wants to hang on to him.
Jones would have to be convinced that Owens' squabbles with Romo and Witten are not isolated and that the team would be better off without him in the long run.

That said, I don't know who would want him with his history. Maybe the Raiders?

I think his days in Dallas are numbered and that he will end up on a team that likes washed-up players who used to be great 2 and a half years ago. I'm thinking the Jets.

I disagree. He may still be gifted athletically (unlike Randy Moss, his entire game doesn't just revolve around him being fast), but I wouldn't want him on my team. I can't think of a more distracting player in the NFL. Can you?

Usually Owens needs a whole season to complain and mess up the team, and he only really got rolling at the end of this season. I think he probably has another year in Dallas, then he'll be off. That said, I don't know who would want him with his history. Maybe the Raiders?
