It's not a curse. A curse implies that some supernatural element is undermining you even if you do everything right. It can come from some past mis-deed, but is not linked to what you're doing in the present.
The Redskins have failed because of active, identifiable, mis-management. Snyder has shown impatience with any real building process, instead bringing in former greatness whenever possible. He's played fantasy football with both players and coaches, and refused to hire a general manager with the vision to put the right pieces together over time.
Hopefully, this is slowly changing. If he can go through this off-season and keep his hands off of the wheel, the Redskins have a chance to improve on last year's set of surprising wins.

Why can't the Washington Redskins turn things around? Is it the curse of the Danny?!
only 2 other teams have had bigger championship game droughts: the Detroit Lions and the Cincinnati Bengals. That's not good company to be in, you know what I'm sayin'?

• And I thought it was because Dan Snyder looked a little too much like the Bob's Big Boy mascot ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Boy_(restaurant) ).
Although technically it is entirely possible for Dan Snyder to be cursed from experiencing considerable victory in the League.
