I know this!

The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Chicago Cardinals.
It was due to player shortages as a result of World War II.
The combined team, known as Card-Pitt, played half of their home games in each city.

The Cardinals and Steelers combined in 1944 because the NFL was short
on players due to World War II. They were dubbed the "Car-Pitts"
(pronounced as "carpet") because, according to a fan, "other teams
walked all over them." The team finished their only combined season
0-10.
