This Xerox commercial from the early 70's has been mostly forgotten, but I think it started the whole trend of humorous Super Bowl ads.

Hands down, it was the commercial introducing the Apple Macintosh back in 1984 with its references to George Orwell's "1984."

My favorite super bowl commercial of all time is the magic fridge one. This guy is having a party and wants to hide his beer so he puts it all in his fridge an then presses a button to spin around behind the wall. The commercial then flips to the guys on the other side of the wall who shout, "Hey guys, the magic fridge is back!" and start worshipping the fridge like they would an idol. I think that the commercial was for bud light or something.

One of the first SB commercials I remember seeing as a kid that became very popular was the Budweiser frogs:

Many more commercials came out of that one, and I even saw people with Bud frog t-shirts.

The Apple and Magic Fridge ones are definitely great (and the Apple one is my favorite) But to add a new one, the Audi R8 commercial with Alex Rocco.
